Who wrote the Bible?

The Bible was written by more than 40 authors. The author came from different backgrounds: Fisherman, Kings, Shepherds, tax collectors, scholars and more. It was written over a span of 1500 years. The authors wrote the Bible in different places such as in the wilderness, the prisons, Islands and while travelling. Even though the Bible was written by more than 40 authors over a span of 1500 years, they do not contradict with each other. This was because God's spirit was in control, guiding the first storytellers and guiding the person who wrote them down later. That same spirit also guides us and helped us understand when we read the Bible.

A walk through the Clouds...

Window seat or aisle? The answer to this question is very easy for many people like me who adores the entranching view from the plane. Though, I haven't been lucky enough to be one to make such choices all the time.On the 11th of december, in a flight from Hyderabad to New Delhi, I finally got the seat next to the window. The view, of course is only interesting, few minutes before touchdown. For most of the time, I could only see a vast expanse of clouds in the high altitude. The leisure time made me think things that I heard and read before. I looked down trying my best to see as much as possible with the naked eye despite the fact that I am myopic. (I had forgotten to take out my spectacles) I remembered the Bible narrations on how God looked down upon His creations from above and wondered, would it have felt the same way. But we also know Him as the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God. Now, that does make His localisation very confusing. The mode of His existence and the fashion He choose to communicate to His creations is also perplexing. In the garden of eden God communicate directly with Adam and walk with him. The mode of communication became more complex and abstract as time goes by.The scripture tells us that He was with the israelites under Moses as a pillar of cloud by day and as fire by night and the Psalmist tells us that God maketh the cloud His Chariot. We also read about so many instances when God actually uses the cloud either to speak through it or to actually sit on it. In the book of Revelation, John saw a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown and a sharp sickle in his hand. He spoke to Moses through the burning bush, through miracles to pharaoh, through trials and pains to Job, through Angels to Mary and Gideon and Prophets to speak to Kings. So, What does He use to speak to me today? Am I responding? It is beautiful, the way He has been working in my life though I am most undeserving of the blessings. I am fearful and doubtful. In the past months, God has been teaching me to let go of my anxieties about the futures and to explore new avenues that I had feared to trod. He gave me people I need to helped me overcome myself. He had answered my prayers in ways beyond my imagination. He has been faithful and had not forgotten my petitions and He delivers me. He gave me reasons to believe that He had be there for me in all my endeavours and I need not fear. He can turn the minds and hearts of people in my favour. It is beyond me to understand the works and minds of God, but I am comforted at the thought that as long as i walk with Him and as long as He is on my side, I am sheltered even if the whole world is against me...
